Managing Absence in the Workplace
11th June 2009, BioCity Nottingham
About the Event
Absence averaged 6.7 days in 2007, 3.3% of working time and 173 million days lost across the UK economy.
In the East Midlands absence from work, both short and long-term is a reality and stands at 6.6 days per
employee.
In the latest CBI survey findings, sickness absence costs the UK economy over £13 billion, yet many
organisations are prepared to ignore or absorb these costs.
This event is being run by Business Link East Midlands.
